Newly signed from Manchester City, Savinho was unveiled by the club alongside Vivianne Miedema, promising to write his own chapter in the club’s history.
The 20-year-old Brazilian winger signed a five-year deal last season and helped Spain qualify for the Champions League.Savinho was a boyhood favorite with Riyad Mahrez at City and chose to take the Algerian’s number 26 shirt at the Etihad.“I’m very excite and proud to be here and wear the most iconic shirt. He said he couldn’t wait to get on the pitch and said, “I see myself as a part of this team and I can play the best football for Manchester City.”

He made history here, but Mahrez is Mahrez. Savinho is Savinho.Now it’s my turn to make history here.”That’s what he said at the presentation to the Manchester City fans at the Etihad Stadium along with Mdima, who came from Arsenal to Savinho.
The Dutch forward scored 106 WSL goals in seven years with the north Londoners and will be hoping to push Manchester City after Chelsea won the title on goal difference.
“Individual awards are nice but I’m here to win with Manchester City,” he said, adding: “We’ve played football in the last few years and it’s been very close and “I think it will be an exciting game and I hope I can help the girls with my experience,” he said.
The 28-year-old Miedema will line up with Khadija Shaw, who scored 21 goals before her injury. “She has a lot of qualities, we have different qualities, and I think they will fit together very well,” Miedema said.
